Loblolly - a species of short leaf pine common in East Texas
The property is located at Riverside, Texas on a bay formed by Bethy Creek. The Bethy Creek basin was the site of extensive mining of Fuller's earth, a material used in oil drilling mud, until the early 1950's. The property has a small cove that appears to have been dug for the mining operation. When purchased, the property had a large pile of tailings apprently dug from the cove.
