Traverse City Campout

The Wolverines usually take an annual summer trip and campout to a private site near South Boardman, which is not far from Traverse City..

The weekend campout includes day and night drives on groomed snowmobile trails in the adjacent state forest. The trails are not very challenging, but they provided a very pleasant, scenic ride through the woods. There is one fairly challenging sandy hill climb, and some mud holes and peat bogs that the Wolverines do not hesitate to dive right into. We usually also find quite a few wild blueberries and can pick enough to munch on and to bake muffins for breakfast the next morning.
