The Fosters of Wilson Co, Tennessee and Benton Co. Missouri

William P. Foster was born about 1800 in Wilson County, Tennessee. Some say he was the son of James Foster, Sr. Others say he was the son of Albert G. Foster, also known as Robert Albert Foster, and Nancy "Agnes" Donnell.

William's first wife is unknown, but they had the following children:

  1. Ailcy H., married m: David Felder Richardson about 1848, Benton County, Missouri
  2. Robert P., married m: Nancy Bailey 9 Oct 1845, Benton County, Missouri
  3. Adrian M., married Sarah M. Weaver 20 Nov 1851, Benton County, Missouri
  4. John P., married Elizabeth Jane Nottingham

All were born in Wilson County, Tennessee between 1825 and 1832, although John may have been born in Bedford County, Tennessee.

William's second wife was Elizabeth N. Turner, and their children were as follows:

  1. Frances Foster
  2. James M. Foster
  3. William Daniel Foster

The Fosters moved to Benton County, Missour in the early 1830s.

Ailcy Foster

Ailcy married David Felder Richardson, son of James Richardson and Rachel Young. Ailcy seems to have died after 1862 in Missouri. David and his family moved first to Lamar Co. and then to Trinity Co., Texas shortly after the Civil War.
